Then kick back with some champers at the famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where Pretty Womanwas set. Elvis also lived here when he was filming in the 1960s. West Hollywood
Sure, Sunset Strip is great for night life, but if you want to shop, head to Melrose Avenue. Here you’ll find Stella McCartney, Kitson and the very hip Maxfield, as well as homewares at Jonathan Adler, Design Within Reach and RH West Hollywood. You can also visit inspiring art exhibits along Melrose Avenue, Robertson Boulevard or Beverly Boulevard. There’s great coffee to be had at Alfred Coffee too. Downtown LA
Start at The Bloc Downtown, an open-air urban mall with department stores and restaurants. Then walk along Broadway to find Swedish brand Acne, A.P.C. and the Aussie success story Aesop skincare. Next, head to the museum gift stores at The Broad and Walt Disney Concert Hall for jewellery and ceramics. The Mid-Wilshire District
Every visit to this outdoor mall guarantees a celebrity sighting – after all, it’s right next door to CBS Studios. Shop at Nordstrom, Anthropologie or the Apple Store, see a movie, or just enjoy the scene at one of the alfresco cafes. The real secret, though, is right next door at the Original Farmer’s Market, where stalls sell some of the best Mexican, seafood and bakery treats in the city.
