The Duchess of Cambridge has been hinting she’s ready for another baby for some time and now it seems an announcement that she’s expecting is imminent. There has even been speculation that she could be having twins!

“The big talk in palace secrets is that Kate is already pregnant – and some of her closest confidantes are even saying she’s having twins,” says a source close to the duchess.
“Apparently her bump is already more pronounced, leading many to believe there’s a double royal surprise coming our way, so it’s incredibly exciting.”
As rumours abound that William and Kate will soon add to their family, a UK bookmaker has even slashed the odds on the royal family issuing confirmation of the happy news.
“No-one is surprised that she’s pregnant so soon after Louis. She made it clear that she wanted to be pregnant by the middle of the year, so she and Wills have clearly been trying,” says the royal source.
“Now that all signs are pointing towards another royal baby – or two! – for Wills and Kate, the whole palace is buzzing. It’s an exciting time!”
Meanwhile, Kate has heightened speculation that she could be pregnant by holding a series of clutch bags in front of her midriff, touching her stomach during recent outings and sporting a noticeably wider smile than usual while attending St Patrick’s Day celebrations with William.
Then, while visiting a London children’s centre last week, Kate talked to other parents and, perhaps significantly, asked those with twins about their experiences and what it was like.
One mother of two girls confided, “I told her double the trouble and she laughed”.
Kate has made no secret of being ready for another baby, with Louis less than a month away from his first birthday.
While on a two-day walkabout in Northern Ireland last month, Kate confided that she had babies on her mind while talking to a local father, Alan Barr, who was in attendance with his 5-month-old son, James.
Kate said that his little boy was “very sweet”, adding that seeing him “makes me very broody”. When pressed on whether she’d have more children, Kate was more coy, replying, “I think William might be slightly worried”.
Behind the scenes, however, a royal insider has told New Idea that the duchess would love to have a fourth child.
“The simple truth is that Kate loves being at home looking after her kids,” an insider confided in January, adding, “Kate has seen the bond between George and Charlotte and thinks it would be lovely if Louis had a sister closer to his age.”
While in recent years, the royals have favoured two children per family, Kate admires how the Queen, and her good friend Princess Mary of Denmark, had four and, says the royal source, “would love to do the same”.
With Meghan due to give birth any day now, Kate expressed her excitement at having a new baby in the royal family, saying, “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies, and a cousin for George and Charlotte, as well, and Louis. It’s really special.”
And while Kate suffered from extreme morning sickness in the early months of her pregnancies, her symptoms lessened with Louis making a fourth pregnancy less daunting.
“She hopes it will be easier if she gets pregnant again,” notes the insider.
With Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months, the royals will have their hands full if they add another. But despite Kate’s suggestion that William wouldn’t want a fourth child, the future king is happy to follow his wife’s lead. “William has always supported her and will do anything to make her happy, that is a promise he made before they married,” said the royal insider. “If she wants a fourth child he will go along with it, even though he complains about sleepless nights now!”
William has nothing but praise for his children’s mother.
“I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine,” he said in 2016. “She is an amazing mother and a fantastic wife.”
