Princess Beatrice has been dating property developer, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since last year and the couple appear to be head over heels.
In fact, there has been plenty of talk lately that the couple are already planning to tie the knot.
And, in a telling sign that the couple could be headed for the aisle, Edoardo has been given the seal of approval by Beatrice’s mum, Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson.
“Fergie apparently adores him,” Angela Mollard tells New Idea Royals podcast.
“[Beatrice and Edoardo] have actually stepped out, they went to an art gallery and in they were New York together as well. She’s not keeping this relationship back which would suggest she is pretty keen on him.”
Beatrice is very close to her mum, so it is likely that her opinion holds a lot of weight for the royal.
While we would all love another royal wedding, Ange doesn’t agree.
“I hope she has a nice time with Eduardo, but that she doesn’t feel any pressure to walk down the aisle.”
In fact, Ange thinks it would be great if Beatrice didn’t follow in the footsteps of the other royals and didn’t have a wedding at all.
“You know what actually, I would quite like to have a really cool single royal girl,” she says.
“We watched the fairytale and built it up, there was Kate and Meghan, Zara then Eugenie.
“I think it would be pretty cool if Beatrice had a job in an art gallery, had a great life, skied set up some businesses, some entrepreneurial things, some philanthropic interests and takes some lovers.
“Why does she have to do the whole white meringue thing?”
