Prince Charles has finally met his grandson, Archie-Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.
The visit comes days after Prince William and Kate Middleton paid a visit to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s newborn.
Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English took to Twitter to discuss the visit: “Meanwhile Prince Charles went to meet his new grandson, Archie-Harrison Mountbatten Windsor for the first time this afternoon. The prince visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Frogmore Cottage.”
Royal correspondent Victoria Murphy also tweeted: “Prince Charles travelled to Windsor this afternoon to meet his new grandson Archie.
“Earlier in the day he was at the Fortnums Food and Drink Awards where his commitment to supporting food and farming communities was recognised.”
Charles previously expressed his excitement over meeting his grandson, saying he was “delighted” at the news of his birth.
During his official visit to Berlin, he told royal fans: “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news and we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return.”
Harry and Meghan welcomed Archie-Harrison Mountbatten Windsor at 5.26am on May 6 at Portland Hospital, weighing 7lbs 3oz.
