The countdown is on for baby Sussex, and with the royal tot expected to arrive later this month, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are sure to be finalising their list of baby names.
But, Royal expert and commentator, Angela Mollard believes that Meghan has already had her baby name picked out for some time.
“I think Meghan’s the sort of women who has had baby names in the back of her filo fax then phone for the last 20 years, don’t you?” She reveals on the podcast New Idea Royals.
“You think about her former blog and the nature of The Tig, she’s got a very organised guided life, I think the moment that she flipped into adulthood she would have lists that she has been keeping…Harry won’t get a look in.”
Of course, there has been plenty of speculation from royal fans about what the couple will call the royal tot. According to bookies, Victoria and Diana are firm favourites in the betting stakes, but Angela isn’t so sure the couple will opt for those.
“I wouldn’t think that they would go for either of those,” she shares.
“I don’t think Diana, it’s is such an iconic name it’s like if you were Marilyn Monroe’s daughter and you called your daughter or granddaughter Marilyn, it’s just such a defining name.
“I think there’s every chance Diana or Diana’s middle name, Frances might end up as a middle name but I don’t think we would see it in the baby’s Christian name. That’s a huge iconic figure to live up to. There is only one Diana.”
