Off the back of the official event for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landing, Kate Middleton stood in solidarity with both veterans and current serving members of the British armed forces.
WATCH: Kate looks stunning at the Beating Retreat ceremony
The Duchess of Cambridge looked chic in a cream coat dress from her favourite designer, Catherine Walker, and teamed the look with a touch of Irish luck, donning a sparkling gold shamrock brooch.
The Duchess attended the Household Division Beating Retreat at Horse Guards Parade in London, an event which officially marks the start of the Queens official birthday weekend.
This is the first time the mum-of-three has received a salute at the Beating Retreat, a royal family event that dates back to the 16th century.
As tradition goes, the horse guard takes place for the two nights before the Queen’s Birthday Parade, better known as Trooping the Colour.
Trooping the Colour will take place on Sunday, June 8, and we are expecting to see all the senior members of the royal family stand on the famous balcony at Buckingham Palace.
No word yet as to whether Meghan Markle will be in attendance (as she is currently on maternity leave with baby Archie), but husband Prince Harry, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth and William and Kate are all expected to be there.
Royal watchers are even suspecting that Kate’s youngest son, Prince Louis, will make his appearance at the royal event for the first time.
