An old classmate of Prince William’s has shared the Duke of Cambridge once fell into a bush on one wild night out.
In a 2011 documentary, When Kate Met William: A Tale of Two Lives, one of the couple’s former classmates, Helen McCardle, revealed: “I remember William coming back and falling into a bush.
“He had to be retrieved from his bodyguards who, rumour has it, went round the hall to retrieve the camera film from people who had been taking photos.”
McCardle also recalled, “I remember Kate having to be carried back to her room by one of the Eton boys because she couldn’t walk and she was drunk.”
According to recent reports, it was William’s wild side while at St Andrew’s College that almost ended his relationship with now-wife Kate.
Kate and Wills’ relationship took a break in 2007 after the Duchess was left “humiliated” by the Prince’s partying habits, Express reports.
Jessica Jayne’s book The Duchess of Cambridge: How Kate Middleton Became A Future Queen, published in 2012, claims that three years before their engagement, Kate quit her job at fashion house Jigsaw because she needed “some time to think about her relationship with William”.
Kate was said to have been doubting her boyfriend when she learned he was going clubbing with his friends instead of seeing her.
Jessica Jayne, the book’s author, adds: “Kate was further humiliated when a photo of William with two girls was published in tabloids.”
Kate and William quickly reconciled, and wed in 2011.
The couple share three beautiful children – Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 8-months.
