Can you spot the ‘mistake’ in the royal wedding photos?

Eagle-eyed royal fans want answers.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle delighted fans across the world with the release of their official wedding portraits, but eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the ‘mistake’ in the images.

Kensington Palace released three pictures taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski on Saturday, and it was the group shot featuring the senior royals and the bridesmaids and page boys that caught the attention of royal fans.

In the photograph, Ivy Mulroney, the 4-year-old daughter of Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney, and Florence Van Custem, Prince Harry’s 3-year-old goddaughter, were seen sharing a bouquet.

In a second group shot, young Florence does not have a bouquet altogether.

‘Flower girls short one head garland and one bouquet in pictures and entering church, what happened???’ one fan responded to the pictures, with another adding, ‘It shouldn’t bother me but because I know it’s meant to be there it really irritates me that one of the flower girls is missing their bouquet in the royal wedding pics.’

The answer is quite simple, however.

Ivy was not given a bouquet to hold during the ceremony as she was given the task of taking Meghan’s flowers once she reached the altar. She also didn’t have a floral garland due to her hair style, but wore flowers in the back of her hair instead.

Meghan’s wedding bouquet was created by florist Philippa Craddock, and included forget-me-nots and Lily of the Valley.

Prince Harry also hand-picked the flowers that were included in her bouquet.

Following the wedding, Meghan’s flowers were placed on the tomb of the unknown warrior at Westminster Abbey, in keeping with royal tradition.
