If there’s one thing Married At First Sight does right, it’s locations. And now that the brides and grooms have started to embark upon their honeymoons, no matter what happens next, at least the couples will be able to bask in some serene natural beauty before all the drama hits.

If you thought this year’s wedding locations were gorgeous, the views are only getting more and more stunning as the show goes on.

While your typical honeymoon is a time to leave your friends and family behind to go celebrate your union with the one person you know and love the most, MAFS’ honeymoons are a little different.

We’re unpacking all the relationship, sex and dating woes of this season’s Married At First Sight stars in our juicy new podcast, Love In Reality. Listen, like and subscribe below!

Once the brides and grooms have said their ‘I dos’, they pack their bags and head off to some of the most gorgeous sites Australia has to offer, except in this case, they’re using this time to get to know each other.

From the Hunter Valley to the south coast, scroll on down to see where all your favourite MAFS couples are spending their honeymoons.

Bryce & Melissa | Edith, NSW

Bride and groom Bryce and Melissa were sent to Edith NSW for their honeymoon. Specifically, the region’s Waldara farm. While the sights sure were pretty, the couple’s first night sadly ended in tears. Hopefully the lovebirds can reignite their initial spark!

MAFS Jake Bec honeymoon
The view may be strong but this couple’s relationship sure is not. (Credit: Channel Nine)

Jake & Bec | Hunter Valley, NSW

While this married couple may as well be acquaintances with the amount of chemistry between them, Jake and Bec spent their honeymoon in the same place they got hitched – wine country Hunter Valley. And it seemed like the bride needed plenty of wine after Jake leant in for that awkward kiss.

Brett & Booka | South Coast, NSW

Perhaps the strongest couple so far! Brett and Booka were whisked away to the south coast of NSW for their honeymoon where things certainly got steamy in the bathtub.

Jason & Alana | South Coast, NSW

Loved-up Jason and Alana headed to Austinmer beach in the stunning south coast of NSW for their honeymoon. While the physical chemistry was clearly there, the bride is seeking a deeper emotional connection with her groom.

MAFS Coco and Sam honeymoon

Sam & Coco | South Coast, NSW

This confusing couple also headed to the south coast for their honeymoon. While Sam initially didn’t seem keen on Coco, the couple did have a sweet moment whilst feeding birds surrounded by gorgeous greenery… only to be ruined by the groom admitting he “needs a girl with boobs”. And they say romance is dead.

Cameron & Sam | Casuarina, NSW

Sam and Cameron were whisked away the the north-eastern town of Casuarina for their honeymoon. And, while things started off strong with the couple enjoying a paddle board and boat ride along the gorgeous waters, things took a turn for the worse when Cam admitted he didn’t feel an emotional connection to Sam (even after the pair had slept together). Yikes.

Joanne and James MAFS

James & Joanne | Shoalhaven, NSW

These two headed south-east to lover’s paradise Shoalhaven! James and Joanne rode horseback along a sandy beach. But, while in theory it sounds romantic, the pair got off to a rocky start. Though, they managed to work things out in the end. Hopefully their relationship will only grow stronger!

Patrick Belinda honeymoon

Patrick & Belinda | Caves Beach, NSW

For their honeymoon, Patrick and Belinda were sent to the picturesque Caves Beach in NSW. Though, while they were thrilled with their bungalow, the newlyweds had a few bones to pick with the fair-too-open layout which included no door to the bathroom. It looks they would have been well-acquainted real fast.

Beth Russell honeymoon

Russell & Beth | Tanja, NSW

Russell and Beth were whisked away to Tanja in NSW where the couple visited Mimosa Rocks National Park. While they were inside their temporary digs, Beth was stunned to learn that Russell had never encountered a kiwi fruit before. It will be interesting to see how this couple develops.

Kerry Johnny honeymoon

Johnny & Kerry | Cabarita, NSW

This loved-up couple got to explore the gorgeous Sydney suburb of Cabarita. Johnny and Kerry were all smiles in the pool until the groom learnt his new wife had been texting her ex-husband throughout their honeymoon.

Liam & Georgia | Hunter Valley

Liam and Georgia, like so many before them, spent their honeymoon in the Hunter Valley. Plenty of wine was certainly consumed and the trip only seemed to bring them closer.

MAFS Chris Jaimie

Chris & Jaimie | Adelaide

Tonight’s “secret couple” Chris and Jaimie spent their honeymoon hand-in-hand in Adelaide. However, not even the serene views could make up for the awkwardness of this trip. From the minute Jaimie tried to fix Chris’ hair we knew we were in for an awkward ride.
