We’re used to seeing Gogglebox‘s Jad on the couch alongside pals Matty and Sarah Marie, and the TV fave has just announced he’s working on another project that’s close to his heart – and his stomach!

Jad Nehmetallah, 32, revealed to News.com.au that he’s about to shake up the food scene in Western Sydney with the launch of a new 250-seat bar and restaurant.
“It’s something I have been working on for the past two years so seeing it come to life is just amazing,” Jad told the publication.
The brand new venue is due to open early next year, and will be similar to the food loving TV star’s Burwood cafe, The Picnic.
Talking of Gogglebox, Jad admitted he had never watched the show, nor had a desire to be on it.
“We were asked to audition and to be honest I didn’t even think we were going to make it through,” he told News.com.au.
“I actually thought it was going to be a few episodes but it ended up being a season and now we have just wrapped up nearly 40 episodes.
“It’s not what I thought — it’s actually such a great and positive show and I am honestly so glad I did it because every day I get to put a smile on people’s faces,” he said.
And with his newlywed couch mates recently announcing they are embarking on a bold new venture of their own, as they are pregnant with their first child, it looks like all three will have their hands full in the coming months.
