Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding looks set to be a lavish affair and now New Idea can reveal details about her wedding bouquet.
Eugenie, who is ninth in line to the throne, and tequila brand ambassador Jack Brooksbank will say their vows in the gothic surrounds of 15th century St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Floral designer Rob Van Helden has created the flowers that will grace St George’s Chapel for the royal wedding, Buckingham Palace confirmed.
He has used foliage and flowering branches, sourced locally from Windsor Great Park, combined with roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and berries.
The designs reflect the rich and vibrant tones of autumn and will also include Liquid Amber trees, a spokesman added.
Mr Van Helden said it had been the “greatest privilege and honour” to create the flowers, adding that Eugenie had been “very involved from the start and has been instrumental in the autumnal theme”.
Mr Van Helden was born and brought up in Holland, and moved to London 31 years ago, where he started his floristry business from the back of his car, the spokesman added.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all expected to be there for the grand royal celebration, joining an 850-strong congregation of celebrities, royals and VIP guests.
In a television interview ahead of the wedding, Jack paid tribute to his future wife, calling her a “bright shining light”.
Eugenie told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford from ITV’s This Morning show, which will be screening the ceremony live, that her “humble and generous” husband-to-be had the ability to “make everyone feel so special”.
