The Queen may be 93, but she is still perfectly capable of riding a horse!
WATCH: Princess Anne reveals she still rides horses
Appearing on an episode of BBC’s Countryfile to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Riding for the Disabled, Princess Anne revealed that her 93-year-old mother – the Queen of England – is still riding her horses around Buckingham Palace.
When talking to Princess Anne about her own love of horses, host John Craven asked if the 68-year-old former Olympic equestrian was still riding.
“Oh, I ride when I’m at home yes.”
Princess Anne then jokes: “When you say if I’m still riding, Her Majesty is still riding so come on! I’ve got a year or two to go.”
Go, Anne!
On the 9th of April this year the monarch was photographed enjoying a vigorous horse ride with her son Prince Andrew, and granddaughter Princess Beatrice.
Choosing not to wear a safety helmet, the Queen wrapped a pastel silk scarf around her head instead paired with a navy blue trenchcoat, while riding alongside Head Groom Terry Pendry in Windsor.
Looks like the women in this family are made of some tough stuff!
