US singer Kelly Clarkson is so adamant she doesn’t want more children, she admits she’s taken double the precautions to ensure she doesn’t fall pregnant again.
Sitting down with Jenny McCarthy for a candid chat on her radio show this week, the 34-year-old not only revealed that hubby Brandon Blackstock has had the snip, but she also admitted to having her tubes tied.
The couple, who celebrate their third wedding anniversary on October 20, are the proud parents of daughter River, two, and son Remington, almost six months.
‘I was literally pregnant with Remy, and I was like, “You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again,”’ she explained. ‘If something happens, it’s a miracle of God. I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, “If I get pregnant again, I will find you!”’
The American Idol alum has previously opened up about the debilitating morning sickness and nausea she suffered during both pregnancies – admitting it was even worse the second time around.
‘It’s horrible. Nothing is beautiful, nothing is magical,’ she said. ‘I will remind my children every day of their lives what I [went through].
‘I was like hospitalised both pregnancies. And then I though, I wanted another little buddy [for River]. I didn’t want a kid to just be an odd man out, because I felt like that a lot. I wanted her to have somebody her age, like when we’re travelling. And so I thought, “OK, we’ll just do it again.” I was like, “There’s no way it can happen again,” but it was worse. Remi’s pregnancy was worse than River’s.’
