Chris Dawson has been arrested in Queensland over the cold case murder of wife Lynette Dawson.
The case was featured on the popular podcast The Teacher’s Pet.

The 70-year-old ex-husband of Lynette Dawson was arrested by police at his home in Mount Coolum, Qld, on the morning of Wednesday 5 Dec.
He has always denied any involvement in his wife’s disappearance.
“In 2015 NSW Police Force unsolved homicide Squad under Strike Force Scriven commenced a reinvestigation into the disappearance and possible homicide of Lynette Dawson,” said NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller.
“Over the next three years, Detective Dan Poole has worked tirelessly gathering evidence, preparing a brief of evidence with other detectives which culminated in April this year, the submission of a fresh brief of evidence to the department.
“Positive information that enabled NSW police to get an arrest warrant for a 70 -year-old man currently living in Queensland.
“That warrant was executed this morning, a 70-year-old man was arrested and is currently waiting to go before the courts in Queensland to face extradition to NSW.”
The arrest comes almost 37 years after Lyn vanished from Sydney’s northern beaches in January 1982.
Chris Dawson appeared at Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon – where he was refused bail.
Sky News reported that he “covered his ears” when facts about the case were read out in court.
He is due to face court in Parramatta on Dec. 6.
