2018 is coming to an end and as we prepare to leave the year behind and jump right into 2019, we’re going to look back at what Australians were Googling during the year that was.
Check out the most watched Netflix shows of the year in the video below:
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding and first official tour taking place in Australia, it’s no surprise that the Duchess of Sussex was the most searched for global personality, with ‘royal wedding’ taking the top spot for news events.
With the cheating scandal and the birth of more babies, we were still keeping up with the Kardashians. Khloé Kardashian and her boyfriend Tristan Thompson both made the top 10 global figures list.
It was also a big year in sport with the World Cup and Commonwealth Games both topping the Overall trending list. Aussies were also Googling the cricket’s ball tampering scandal and David Warner.
It looks like Australians were also keen to improve their health and ditch the sweet stuff, with ‘keto recipes’ topping the list of recipe searches. We were also asking Google how to lose belly fat and lose weight fast.
Below is the entire list of what Australians were searching for the most in 2018:
