The 44-strong swim team includes 23 debutants (eight of which are teenagers), 13 contesting their second Olympics, three contesting their third Olympics and two contesting their fourth Olympics – Bronte Campbell and Cameron McEvoy.

Notably, 30-year-old Cameron is the first Australian male swimmer to achieve such a feat made even more impressive considering that he temporarily quit the sport following the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Australian Dolphins Head Coach Rohan Taylor said that this was a team that “will do Australia proud” while Australian Olympic Team Chef de Mission for Paris 2024 Anna Meares said the team had “well and truly” earned their place at the Olympics.

“We have witnessed an extraordinary week of the toughest competition. The way these athletes have driven each other has made such an impact,” she shared in a statement.
