MasterChef’s Chloe eliminated in first finals week pressure test

The competition really heats up.

MasterChef Australia has seen it’s first finals week elimination, with the Channel Ten cooking show farewelling Chloe Carroll in the pressure test.

The first pressure test of 2018 Finals Week saw the bottom three contestants from Sunday night’s invention test – Sashi, Chloe and Jess – line up for what would be one of their last times in the kitchen.

As is only fitting for Finals Week, the challenge was set by Ashley Palmer-Watts from The Fat Duck and Dinner By Heston in London and Melbourne.

Ashley presented his sherried marron to the contestants, and the amateur cooks were given four hours and forty-five minutes to recreate his dish.

Judge Gary Mehigan claimed all three had done ‘surprisingly well’, but unfortunately Chloe’s was the judges least favoured dish.

‘You’ve grown so much throughout this incredible competition,’ George remarked.

Matt Preston added, ‘You’re going home after an amazing run.’

‘You’ve brought us some great food,’ George concurs.

Jess and Sashi now join Khahn and Ben in Tuesday night’s advantage challenge, where one contestant will receive a ‘massive advantage.’
