The rift between Margot Robbie and her father Doug appears to run deeper than ever, with the Suicide Squad star reportedly opting for her mum Sarie Kessler to walk her down the aisle at her recent wedding to beau Tom Ackerley.
As reported by New Idea earlier this year, Margot has remained estranged from her father after he left their family when she was a child.
As recently as March, the star admitted her contact with the sugar-cane tycoon was limited, saying, ‘I’m nothing like him.’
While it is currently unknown whether or not Doug was invited to the top-secret Byron Bay nuptials, given Margot’s strong bond with her mum, it comes as no surprise she opted to have her walk her down the aisle instead.
‘My mum is just the sweetest person on Earth, and if I turned into her, I wouldn’t be that upset at all; in fact, it would be an honour,’ says Margot.
