How to get a Victoria’s Secret glow

The real woman’s guide to supermodel makeup.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 is all we can think about right now – but it’s not the killer bodies that have captured our hearts.

As is tradition, the 2018 VS extravaganza saw some of the world’s most beautiful women strut down the runway in the prettiest lingerie ever.

But it wasn’t the style that stole the show, or the legendary performers – this time it was undoubtedly the models’ truly angelic glow. Every single woman involved looked happy, healthy, fresh and flawless and it was an inspiration.

Obviously, we’re not supermodels (damn it) and we’ll likely never be that tall or teeny, but the truth is we can all achieve that beautiful natural look and with less effort than you might think. Here, a quick guide to making the fantasy a reality.

For a golden glow skin must be well hydrated. Try a sheet mask that is rich in moisturising ingredients including oils and butters that penetrate deeply. We like Dr LeWinn’s Ultra R4 Collagen Firming Face Mask, $9.95.

Next, apply your favourite moisturiser. Gently press your palms against your face. The heat will help the cream absorb.

If you use eye cream apply now.

Next, the important bit. Apply a primer. This will ensure any teeny tiny flaws are camouflaged and, if you choose one with light-reflective properties you will look fresher than ever.

Buff a natural makeup all over and then, apply highlighter. We love Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wand, $60. Apply this to the high points of the face such as the cheekbones, the bridge the nose and the cupid’s bow of the lips.

Fresh, dewy and youthful.

From here, apply your regular makeup only be prepared to receive more compliments than usual. Don’t be shy about it. There’s nothing more beautiful than confidence.
