Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth has broken the wall of silence surrounding his mystery hospitalisation, which has resulted in him cancelling a string of important appearances.
The star, who was supposed to attend the Grammy Awards with wife Miley Cyrus, was forced to pull out – with the reason only revealed by his notoriously vocal Isn’t It Romantic co-star Rebel Wilson. At the time, the star’s rep did not supply a confirmation or explanation.
Now Liam has taken to Instagram to reveal he is indeed in hospital, and it’s apparently serious enough that he has to miss the premiere of his own movie.
‘Sorry I couldn’t make it to the @isntitromantic premier tonight guys,’ he said. ‘Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days.’
Promotion is now fully in the hands of Wilson.
‘Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me!’ he said. ‘Thanks for the support babe! I hope everyone enjoys the movie! It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day flick so if ya ain’t got nothin better to do then go see it! Love to all!’
Wilson revealed on Grammys night that the star had been admitted after ‘feeling unwell’.
‘[Liam] was in hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine,’ his Isn’t It Romantic costar told Extra. ‘He texted us this morning.’
A Warners Brothers representative stated that the star ‘woke up feeling unwell’ and pulled out of the event.
