Queen of the night Oprah Winfrey – who brought the audience, and the world, to their feet with a rousing Golden Globes speech – showed off a tiny waist in a corseted Versace number. The billionaire philanthropist credits Weight Watchers for her slimline look, with shares of the company – of which Oprah is a 10 per cent shareholder – soaring following her acceptance speech.
And now, we can reveal the secret to the media mogul’s incredible weight loss – it’s all down to what’s on her plate. And there’s good news for all the foodies out there – Oprah’s daily diet doesn’t scrimp on carbs, and she’s even allowed a glass of rosé.
Now, that sounds like our kind of diet!
The slimmed-down star, who has lost 25 kilos to date, typically starts her day with a filling but health egg sandwich. Made from one slice of toasted wheat bread, one eighth of an avocado, one over-easy egg and a medium tomato, the yummy meal is just four points on the Weight Watchers scoring system.
Meanwhile, lunch involves a generous portion of pasta with sauteed shrimp anddinner is miso-glazed cod with brown rice and vegetables – washed down with a glass of guilt-free rosé.
‘I thought it was too good to be true,’ the talk-show star said to PEOPLE of the weight-loss meal plan in the new Freestyle program.
