There are thousands of yummy things you can make in your slow cooker – breakfast, dinner, dessert … you name it, people are cooking it!But did you know that you can make roast pork – WITH CRACKLING – in the popular appliance?
That’s right, while slow cookers usually go hand-in-hand with comfort foods and stews, one clever home cook has come up with an ingenious way to cook up the family favourite roast – and says it’s the best she’s ever had.
Writing on the fabulous Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips Facebook group, Stella says: ‘OMG….. NEVER….. EVER……… AGAIN WILL I COOK A ROAST IN THE OVEN!’
Revealing her technique, Stella says that she placed the pork in the slow cooker for ‘7.5 hrs on low, then 10 mins in the oven as high as it goes!!!! PERFECTION.’
A fellow slow cooker fan revealed that she’d also followed the same method – with amazing results.
‘I tried this a couple of weeks ago and it turned out awesome,’ she wrote. ‘Don’t think that I will roast in the oven again 😊❤🤤’Others on the page were quick to applaud the method and say they’d give it a go.‘That crackling looks divine,’ said one. ‘It looks absolutely amazing,’ added another.Said a third: ‘I’m so giving this a go!’We are too!
