Jules Sebastian shares genius hack for making Dumpling Noodle Soup

Australia’s unofficial cooking queen Jules Sebastian has shared her latest culinary creation with her more than 315,000 Instagram followers, sharing an ingenious and quick recipe for Dumpling Noodle Soup.

Sharing a video of the preparation process to her account, Jules simply poured all the ingredients into her rice cooker, before switching it on for a 12-minute cook.

Speaking to the camera as she taste-tested to her homemade Chinese cuisine, it was clear Jules was a huge fan of her newly created recipe. 

“That’s a huge wow,” the 43-year-old said.

“It [also] smells delicious,” she added. 

Fans were equally excited to try out the recipe for themselves, jumping into the comments to praise Jules. 

“I honestly didn’t know I could do more than just rice in the rice cooker!!!!🤯,” one follower said. 

“Where do you find these ideas 😂😂😂 coming at us with the goods 🔥🙌😎 this is legendary,” another wrote.

According to Jules, those looking to try this recipe for themselves can choose “whichever dumpling flavour” they like to mix in with “a packet of one dollar noodles” and vegetable additions. 

“That’s lunch, and/or dinner, or a snack, whatever you like! You can thank me later,” Jules joked as she ended the video.

JULES SEBASTIAN’S RICE COOKER DUMPLING NOODLE SOUP

Ingredients

  • x12 frozen dumplings (select whichever flavour you like)
  • Handful of chopped cabbage
  • Handful of chopped mushrooms
  • Handful of spring onions 
  • 1 small packet of vermicelli noodles
  • 1tsp of chilli oil 
  • Cover in chicken or beef stock
  • Sprinkle of coriander to finish

Method

  • Place all ingredients in the rice cooker
  • Cook in the rice cooker for 12 minutes.
  • Serve hot with a sprinkle of coriander, and enjoy!
