One of America’s most beloved bakery chains Cinnabon is continuing its rapid expansion across Australia.
First founded in Seattle, Washington in 1985, the business has since gone on to open more than 1,850 stores in over 50 countries across the globe.

Since launching down under in Brisbane in late 2019, Cinnabon stores have continued to pop up in the likes of Sydney and Melbourne.
And now, fans have begun to notice new stores popping up in new locations outside of the inner city.
The expansion comes as no surprise however given the Australian franchisor (The Bansal Group) revealed to the trade publication Inside Franchise Business in 2019 that they had plans to open “50 Cinnabons in five years” across Australia.
“There’s a gap in the Australian market for an indulgence brand where Cinnabon sits,” they said at the time.
“It’s a brand to look forward to for the Australian market and we are really hoping to do well in the future.”
In March 2023 when the first Cinnabon store opened in New South Wales, a spokesperson for the sweet treat brand described Australia as a “very important growth market for the brand.”
“[They] have shown they love our bons and specialty coffee,” the spokesperson said in a statement at the time.
When that store opened, eager Aussies lined up for almost four hours to secure a Cinnabon bun of their own.
Given the high demand, we are sure new stores will open in every Australian state and territory in the not-so-distant future. But for now, we’ve compiled a list of locations for you below.
