A Kmart Pie Maker fan has now made SCOTCH EGGS in the budget gadget!

When it comes to desserts, we’ve seen all sorts of creations whipped up in the $29 Kmart Pie Maker.Vanilla Slice pies, Mars Bar pies, Nutella-filled donuts … you name it, the clever folks at the Kmart Pie Maker Recipes, Tips and Ideas Australia Facebook group have made it.

Well now we’ve seen an epic new SAVOURY dish created using the gadget, and we couldn’t love it more. 

Clever home chef Gavin – who’s a bit of a star on the Facebook page thanks to his winning recipes – has revealed his latest creation, Pie Maker Scotch Eggs. And don’t they just look perfect?!

Sharing his recipe on the page, Gavin writes: ‘So I had a thought driving home from work this afternoon, so I knocked up a tester.Pie Maker scotch egg…..worked better than expected!’Revealing his technique, Gavin explained that he soft boiled the whole egg for two and a half minutes, before casing it with the sausage mix and breading them. He then cooked it in the pie maker for around eight minutes, turning it four times until golden brown.

We take our hats off to you, Gavin – they look ah-mazing! The Scotch Eggs also got the big thumbs up from the other Pie Maker fans – who were blown away by Gavin’s creation, pointing out that this isn’t the first time Gavin has come up with a cracker pie maker recipe!‘This guys knows how to pie… Good job buddy!’ said one. Added another: ‘You genius you!’Said a third: ‘You sir are amazing! Gav strikes again.’We’ll say!
