Brenton and Sophie

After meeting both Sophie and Rachel’s respective families, Brenton had a tough decision to make.

Ultimately, Brenton chose Sophie.

“Soph, I’ve never felt like this with anyone… You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met Soph,” Brenton said.

The couple then embraced and told each other they loved one another. And currently, Brenton and Sophie are still together and both living on Brenton’s farm!

Unfortunately, at the beginning of August, Sophie confirmed that she and Brenton had sadly parted ways.

“Reg and I loved our life in Darriman and have been missing the farm a lot.”

“It’s a disappointing ending, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and my values. I wish Brenton all the best and want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and friends!”

David and Emily

Emily revealed during the homestay that she’d happily move to David’s farm if he chose her. Then on their final night together, Emily told David, “I am falling in love with you.”

David returned the favour when he made his final decision and chose Emily.

“Emily, you are the most genuine person I know… I’ve completely fallen in love with you and can’t wait to see where this future goes,” he said.

The two immediately embraced, and we’re happy to reveal that David and Emily are still together currently. In fact, Emily has moved to David’s farm and is working full-time at a local primary school (but not the one featured in an early FWAW episode). Despite moving from Brisbane, she told 7Life that the adjustment to farm life wasn’t hard.

“I was really fortunate that things kind of moved quickly, so nothing’s been really that hard… Everything has just gone really well,” Emily said.

Matt and Olivia

During the homestay, Olivia’s family immediately took to Matt and they all shared a lovely afternoon together; although it did come up that Olivia and Matt would have to do long distance, at least for a little bit, if Matt chose Olivia.

On their final night together, Matt voiced his concerns about potentially doing long distance but Olivia assured him that she wouldn’t want to do long distance for too long because she ‘likes being around him.’

Ultimately, despite this long-distance hurdle, Matt chose Olivia.

“Olivia, I have fallen in love with you and I want to share my future with you,” he said.

Olivia was obviously stoked (and “tried not to cry”) at Matt’s decision, and currently, the couple are still together!

Andrew and Claire

In a shocking twist, Farmer Andrew decided to end his Farmer Wants A Wife journey early because he had strong feelings for Claire and didn’t want to continue getting to know his remaining ladies.

After sending Sarah and Jessie home, Andrew asked Claire to meet him outside on the farm. And while they both sat amongst twinkling candle lights, Andrew professed his love for Claire in an incredibly moving speech.

“Yeah, so [I was] sort of thinking back now to when I first met you and it was your green eyes that first captured me. I started thinking, ‘Well, who is this girl that grew up on Flinders Island and who spent time living in Darwin… and swam horses in Fanny Bay,’” Andrew began.

“The thing that stuck out the most was that moment we shared a kiss out here on the log because I felt after that we both put our reservations aside and it felt to me as if we started moving in a good direction.”

“And then I think of the time I spent away, not long after that, in the lead up to the country fair. And those days where I was away… I sort of realised; I thought, ‘I actually miss seeing you, I look forward to seeing you again,’” he continued.

“You wanted me to let you know if my feelings changed in any way. And I guess that probably brings me to now; it does bring me to now. Yes, my feelings have changed and it’s time to share with you. Claire, I’m falling in love with you.”

As filming for Farmer Wants A Wife ended months ago, the question everyone’s dying to know is whether Andrew and Claire are still together…
