Cluster corners

Clustering a few favourite plants is a great use of spare room. Try to mix up the type of plants you use but keep a uniform colour scheme across plants and pots. Varying heights work especially well and as Stephen Orr notes in the video above, from a design sense, odd numbers look better than even.

Make a statement

Sometimes a space will call out for something a bit different. Having a single large plant (or indoor tree) can have a stunning effect in any room. A Fiddle Leaf Fig or a Monstera are great choices for larger tubs, they’re easy to maintain and look incredible.

Split level

Use hanging plants and utilise shelf or table space to present a few different layers of plant life around the home. Ivy vines look great spilling over the edge of a shelf or table and macramé hangers make for a stylish indoor statement.
