The new promo for The Bachelor has received negative backlash from upset viewers, who have called the teaser trailer ‘inappropriate’.
The trailer features a group of silent women dressed in red, surrounding Bachelor Matt.
Remind you of anything?

Facebook users have pointed out that the Channel Ten promo looks like a scene from The Handmaid’s Tale, a book and television series that explores women’s oppression and subservience to men.
“The red dresses have a handmaids tale vibe to them,” one user pointed out on Facebook. “How interesting.”
“Ok it can’t be just me feeling a few blessed be the fruit vibes with the en masse red dresses,” another commented.
“First thing I thought too,” another user wrote. “Blessed be the fruit.”
“Thank you!! Agreed,” wrote another.
Whether or not this was intentional is up for debate, but it certainly seems tactless considering The Bachelor’s entire premise is about a group of women vying for the affections and love of one man.
Understandably, fans of The Bachelor aren’t too pleased with the dicey comparison to the enslaved ladies of Gilead.
“Yeah pretty much done with this show now,” one user commented.
“Why is this the shittest ad I’ve ever seen?”
Awkward.
