Nadia Bartel
Australian model and clothes designer Nadia Bartel failed to impress during her second dance, earning a spot in the final two alongside Ben Cousins. Ultimately, three out of the four judges chose the former footy player to stay – meaning Nadia’s time in the competition was over. Nevertheless, the model had “so much fun” in the competition.
Hayden Quinn
Despite scoring in the middle of the pack, chef Hayden Quinn was the second celebrity to leave Dancing With The Stars. After landing in the bottom two with comedian Nikki Osborne, the MasterChef alum gave his everything in the dance off. The judges, however, chose Nikki to stay and sent Hayden home. Fans weren’t happy with the elimination, saying the cook was “robbed”.
Nova Peris
Olympic legend Nova Peris was sent home during Kylie Minogue’s Step Back in Time themed Semi Final. Her disco-inspired Cha Cha failed to impress the judges, and the former athlete ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard. With no dance off, Nova was one of two couples to be sent home in a double elimination.
Julie Goodwin
The same week as Nova, Julie Goodwin’s sexy Foxtrot received plenty of applause from the audience and judges, the latter of whom called her a “sassy minx” and “dominatrix”. Sadly, the inaugural MasterChef winner didn’t receive a high enough score. Landing in the bottom two with the Olympian, Julie was sent home.
Ben Cousins
Just missing out on the Grand Final was Ben Cousins. Dancing an Argentine Tango, a score of 17 saw him the first to be eliminated during the Semi Final.
Adam Dovile
While Adam Dovile’s dance partner Jess said that the Better Homes and Gardens star is “such a good leader,” it wasn’t enough to save him from elimination. Adam joined a dance off with Shane Crawford and James Stewart but failed to secure a place in the Grand Final.
Shane Crawford
Arguably the most entertaining of the season, footy legend Shane Crawford gave his all for his Victorian era Quickstep, but ended in the dance off with Adam and James Stewart. As the Home and Away star earned the last spot in the Grand Final, Shane was sent home.
