She’s been famously unlucky in love in the past, but now it looks like Delta Goodrem has finally found her happy ever after.
New Idea can exclusively reveal that the Aussie songstress is set to wed her on-off boyfriend, musician Matthew Copley, in an intimate Hawaiian beach ceremony on her 34th birthday next month.
Those closest to the star have been sent “save the date” cards, inviting them to an intimate bash at Pa‘ako Cove in Makena, South Maui which is referred to as Secret Cove and is the place the couple said their “I love you’s” when they visited the island back in March.
A pal close to Delta revealed, “Delta’s never wanted a big wedding but her family have begged her to have another bash in Australia which she said she’ll do next spring, so for now they’re just flying out a handful of their loved ones to see them tie the knot on one of Delta’s favourite beaches in the world.”
Her relationship with Matthew went public at the start of this year after the pair were caught kissing on New Year’s Eve while on holiday in Hawaii.
According to insiders, Delta and Matthew have bought most of their friends’ plane tickets as well as splashing out on 10 rooms at a $1000-a-night hotel nearby, where they’re set to host a lavish dinner after the ceremony and then party into the night.
Delta was recently spotted celebrating rocker Matthew’s birthday alongside friends. And earlier this month the couple – who first started dating at the beginning of this year before splitting in March – were photographed reuniting after a secret getaway together.
“Delta and Matthew are keen to start a family soon and now they’re back together after a short break, they don’t want to waste any time, hence why they’ve decided on an intimate wedding,” continues the source.
But in the meantime, the singer’s attention is firmly on her wedding to Matthew.
“Delta’s had an elegant and very simple frock made by Lisa Ho and has a Zac Posen dress to change into for the dinner after the sunset ceremony.
“They chose her birthday as the date to tie the knot so it will be a double celebration and, while she’s keeping the details as hushed as possible, she says once they’re ready, she can’t wait to tell the world that she’s become Mrs Copley.”
