The new Today Show line up has been confirmed – and you might be surprised.
Ending weeks of speculation, it’s been revealed just who will be replacing Karl Stefanovic on Channel 9’s morning TV show.
Georgie Gardner remains in place.
Joining her on the Today Show is 60 Minutes star and journalist Tom Steinfort.
Also joining the Today Show team is Deborah Knight.
The 46-year-old mother of three who has served as a fill-in and Weekend Today host since joining the network in 2011.
David Campbell, meanwhile is moving to Weekend Today.
Both David and Richard Wilkins will be sharing duties on Today Extra.
The news may come as a surprise to some – who tipped Adelaide newsreader Brenton Ragless, 41, as the ‘preferred choice’ to replace Karl Stefanovic on Today.
In a statement, Darren Wick, Nine’s Director of News and Current Affairs, said: ‘Georgie Gardner, Deb Knight and Tom Steinfort will spearhead an energised and exciting Today Show in 2019.
“We’ve brought together a team from within the Nine family who are already well-known, trusted and liked by Australian viewers.”
