According to US publication Globe, the late Dirty Dancing star’s relatives are set to challenge the will after Lisa claimed Patrick’s mother was ‘very violent’ and ‘abusive’ when he was growing up.

‘The family is so upset about Lisa’s despicable comments, they’re thinking about going to court to challenge the will!’ a source told the publication.

The news follows outrageous claims, aired in the publication, that the family allegedly believe there may be irregularities in the will.

Lisa also disgruntled family members by not telling them where she scattered his ashes and sold a collection of Patrick’s cast-offs on eBay.

Adding to the drama, family sources are quoted in the publication as outrageously alleging that it was actually Lisa who was the ‘abusive’ figure in Patrick’s life.

‘What always hurt Patrick is Lisa never even carried his last name,’ his brother Sean adds. ‘But when he died, she wanted his name for money.’

Globe’s claims are seemingly contradicted by Patrick Swayze’s long-time friend and bodyguard Frank Whiteley, who says the couple had a great relationship.

Speaking with Closer, Frank told how the actor found the love of his life in his wife Lisa.

‘Buddy loved that woman more than life itself,’ Frank told the publication.

‘They fought like married couples do but he loved her with his dying breath,’ he added.

Lisa has previously fought back against claims she was abusive, with her spokesperson speaking to MailOnline, saying, ‘It is categorically untrue. It is that simple.’

Patrick and Lisa were childhood sweethearts and married in 1975, before he landed his breakout role as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing.

Wrangling over Patrick’s will was previously complicated by allegations he may have a secret love child.

Jason Whittle, a 45-year-old father-of-three who lives in Missouri, reportedly believes he’s Swayze’s son.

He was allegedly conceived during a one-night stand between his then-underage mother, Bonnie Kay, and then-20-year-old Swayze in the early 1970s. Bonnie passed away from cancer in 2012 but not before telling him the truth, relatives reveal to Globe.

‘He could make a legal claim for his inheritance,’ celebrity attorney Raoul Felder said.

A source adds, ‘I hope he does pursue his rightful inheritance.’
