Now a source tells New Idea they wonder if long separations throughout 2016 – with Nicole’s heavy filming schedule and Keith’s Ripcord world tour taking them to opposite ends
of the globe – have taken their toll on the adored couple.

During Nicole’s shocking outburst, the 49-year-old can be seen tearing up, her face red with emotion, before clutching at Keith for support.

When she becomes too overcome and starts to leave the red carpet, Keith can be seen desperately clutching at her to keep her
by his side.

While Keith was left alone to handle the fallout, Nicole later returned to co-star Colin Farrell’s side – where she seemed anxious and clingy.

‘She was wringing her hands and seemed very nervous,’ says the onlooker. ‘The tension from earlier was clearly on her mind.’

Last year, 49-year-old Keith admitted that the couple, who have two daughters, Sunday, eight, and Faith, six, had struggled with communication problems in their marriage.

‘I had such a learning curve in our marriage! When she’d get scared, I’d think she was angry – then I’d get defensive, go tearing out the driveway at 90 miles an hour,’ he told Hits magazine. ‘And that’s
when it all gets pear-shaped.’
