Australian fans were extremely disappointed last year when Michael Bublé postponed his Higher Tour from December 2022 to June 2023.

At the time, Michael announced that “global logistical issues” were the reason the Aussie leg of the tour was pushed back. However, now it looks like there may have been another reason behind the postponement: Michael’s family.

In a recent interview with Gala Magazine, the Sway singer revealed that he missed his wife and four children too much when he was away touring, so he’s decided to cut back.

“I realised that I’m unhappy without my family. So, I started cutting the tours into chunks: three weeks on tour, two weeks off. It drives my manager crazy,” Michael said.

Michael did admit that he knows most fathers have to leave their children while they’re working, so he makes sure that when he’s not on tour, he makes the most of his fortunate position and spends all day with his kids.

“Of course I miss them a lot, but everyone has to work. Other fathers drive to work in the morning and maybe read a bedtime story in the evening; that’s it. When I’m home, every day is a daddy day.”

Michael is married to Luisana Lopilato. The two wed in 2011 and share four children together: Noah, Elias, Vida and Cielo.

Michael’s eldest child, Noah, was diagnosed with a rare type of liver cancer (hepatoblastoma) when he was just three years old. However, after undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Noah went into remission and is currently – and thankfully – okay.
