Former Home Alone child star Macaulay Culkin seems to have cleaned up his act considerably since shock photos emerged of him back in 2012.
Those gaunt and disturbing pictures – which sparked speculation he was battling a serious drug problem – are now ancient history, with the star looking clean cut and healthy as he was photographed out in LA overnight.
Enjoying a night out with Changeland co-star Brenda Song, Macaulay stopped off at a gas station to pick up three packets of cigarettes – indicating that whatever’s going on, he still has some room in his life for the occasional vice.
The outing is the first time Macaulay has been spotted out since the death of his Home Alone screen father, actor John Heard, over the weekend.
Speaking of his lost years and the worries that were growing about him, the actor 36-year-old told The Guardian newspaper: ‘No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever.’
Asked if he would one day shed light on his situation, he responded, ‘Perhaps.’
Whatever was really going on, it’s great to see him looking so well.
