Singer LeAnn Rimes and her actor husband Eddie Cibrian have had quite the headline-making relationship.
The pair first met on set of the 2008 film Northern Lights. Both separately married at the time, rumours of an affair started to swirl. But LeAnn and Eddie denied the speculation.
A year later, the performers separated from their respective partners, and made their public debut at the Valencia Country Club in California.
It wasn’t until 2010 that LeAnn re-addressed the affair rumours.
“I did one of the most selfish things that I possibly could do, in hurting someone else,” she said, according to PEOPLE.
“I take responsibility for everything I’ve done; I hate that people got hurt, but I don’t regret the outcome.”
That same year, the actor moved in with LeAnn before getting down on one knee.
The pair wed in an intimate ceremony in 2011, surprising 40 unsuspecting guests with the nuptials in a private Californian home.
Reflecting on the ceremony years later, LeAnn wrote on Instagram: “This was one of the most joyous days I’ve ever experienced. The deeper my love, the more speechless.”
Since tying the knot, LeAnn and Eddie have gone from strength to strength.
They adopted a puppy, purchased a new home, debuted a new reality show, and LeAnn even got a tattoo inspired by her husband.
The ink, which is etched onto her ribcage, reads: “You gave me the courage to be truthful. I promise to give you the comfort to be trustful.”
While they don’t share biological children, LeAnn is the proud stepmother to Eddie’s sons from his previous marriage – Mason and Jake.
The Voice judge has previously described herself on social media as “a co-soul protector and lover of two little boy’s hearts”.
