Kylie Minogue has revealed she once considered having children on her own.
The 49-year-old Aussie icon, who has suffered a string of failed relationships, said she genuinely considered becoming a single parent, however she is now happy to fulfill her role as an aunty.
‘I did pursue that. That obviously wasn’t the path for me, either. But, I think now I love being an aunty,’ she told the May issue of Vogue Australia.
‘And I mean, if I was to meet anyone – that sounds really gloomy – but if there’s one person on the planet Earth who might like me and I might like them, the chances are pretty high that that person would have children anyway,’ she continued.
‘So I think it’s more (likely) in that vein, than having children of my own.’
The former Neighbours star also discussed her split from fiance Joshua Sasse, 29, last year, stating that she suffered a ‘slow, steady nervous breakdown’ whilst with the British actor and that her family just wanted to ‘shake her’ and get her out of the engagement.
