Rumours are circling that Justin Timberlake could have an expensive divorce on his hands if he doesn’t clean up his act.
Sources tell New Idea that, following the singer’s DUI arrest in New York last week, his wife Jessica Biel, 42, is getting fed up with his unseemly behaviour.
“Jess can’t believe this has happened,” says our source. “She’s forgiven a lot of ‘bad’ behaviour over the years and while this isn’t one of his biggest screw-ups, it could be the final straw for Jess.”
Last Tuesday, the Sexy Back singer was arrested for drunk driving in the Hamptons after he allegedly veered outside his lane and drove through a stop sign. Justin, 43, was released the following morning, but is expected to appear in court at a later date.
Reports claim the singer told the police officer at the time of the arrest, “This is going to ruin the tour.”
However, our sources say he should be more focussed on the effect this will have on his 11-year marriage.
“The past few years have shown to Jess just how self-absorbed he can be,” adds the source. “She’s now seeing him in a new light and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if she started to not like what she sees.”
If a divorce was to eventuate, it could mean an ugly battle, given the couple’s combined net worth is estimated to be upwards of $374 million. They also share two children, Silas, nine, and Phineas, four.
“It’s driving her friends and family mad that she’s stayed with him, and it’s frustrating, to them, how much of her pain he seems completely oblivious to,” adds the source.
“They want her to move out and find someone who worships her.”
