Just months after actress Jessica Marais and boyfriend Jake Holly were rumoured to have tied the knot in a secret beachside ceremony, tragedy has struck the couple.
Late last month, Jake had an unexpected fall from “quite a height” and sustained some terrible injuries.
“It resulted in both wrists broken, multiple fractures in my face as well as other bumps and bruises throughout my body,” the Sydney-based photographer shared on Instagram, adding that he had to undergo surgery.
“The focus now is on rest and recovery,” he continued. “In the midst of an unexpected tragedy I have experienced so much love and support.”
Meanwhile, followers were quick to express their concerns.
“Praying for you,” one friend commented.
“So sorry to hear about this. Sending healing vibes your way,” another shared.
Jess, 34, and Jake confirmed their romance in February 2018. They recently celebrated their one-year anniversary by sharing heartfelt posts on social media.
