He’s certainly lost the right to an opinion on Ziggy’s (Sophie Dillman) personal life. But that doesn’t mean that Brody (Jackson Heywood) isn’t left reeling when he finds out that his ex-wife has embarked on a steamy new relationship – with none other than hunky River Boy Dean (Patrick O’Connor)!
WATCH! What will become of Dean and Ziggy’s holiday fling?
Indeed, let’s just say that Brody appears far more rattled by the unexpected discovery than he would like to admit.
In must-see scenes, Ziggy and Dean return to the Bay, having spent a few carefree days travelling together following the car rally in the outback.
Yet, while the pair are clearly crazy about each other, reality hits almost as soon as they arrive home. Indeed, things quickly become awkward between the young couple, with Ziggy and Dean jumping to false assumptions about the status of their relationship.
“They hadn’t really thought about what would happen once they got back to the Bay,” explains Patrick. “Because they haven’t had that conversation, they’re now just trying to get on with things – but there are misunderstandings.”
Adds Sophie: “Both Ziggy and Dean are hoping that the other person makes a decision about their relationship – but neither of them wants to be the one to do so.”
Later that day, Ziggy heads to the caravan park to confront Dean. And she can’t wipe the smile from her face when she realises that his feelings for her certainly haven’t cooled!
“They’re both blissfully happy,” says Sophie.
But as the pair share a passionate kiss and head into Dean’s caravan, they have no idea that they’ve been spotted not only by Simone (Emily Eskell), but by a shocked Brody.
Could Brody still be harbouring feelings for Ziggy?
