In a bold move, Evangeline Lilly shaved her hair off this week. The actress took to Instagram to share the gradual process of her hair transformation in a series of photos and videos.

“#homecut (swipe) Stop or keep going??” the 40-year-old captioned a video of her cutting her hair.
Evangeline then posted a photo of herself smiling with her newly shaved head.
“Hello 🌏. It’s a BEAUTIFUL day,” the Lost star wrote in the caption.
Evangeline has since been showered with compliments from friends and fans alike.
“Hero,” actress Michelle Monaghan commented, adding, “I love your scruffy, sweet head!!!!”
“You’re so beautiful,” wrote a fan.
The photo has been liked by over three hundred thousand people, including her Ant-man and The Wasp, co-star Michelle Pfeiffer.
Some users were shocked, with one user writing:

Others compared her to Sinead O’Connor and Demi Moore (in G.I. Jane), according to E! News.
