They split up last December, but ex Wallaby rugby union star Drew Mitchell is finally opening up about his relationship with Delta Goodrem.
Speaking to The Saturday Telegraph, the 33-year-old said that long distance played a part in their romance breaking down and that they’d mutually agreed not to talk about their split.
‘We decided to keep our personal life personal,’ he said.
Speaking about how difficult it was to keep in contact whilst he was away playing rugby in the South of France, Drew said:
‘It was a foreign situation for me to be in. This was the first time things were speculated about in my personal life and so we didn’t say anything.
In addition to Drew, Delta has been linked with actor Hugh Sheridan and comedian Andy Lee this year alone.
‘As young as she is, she’s had her ups and downs with relationships,’ her good friend Molly Meldrum recently told Stellar magazine.
‘It’s been hard for her at times, she’s like a little girl when she falls in love with someone, and sometimes she lets herself be hurt,’ he said.
