Caitlyn Jenner has hit back at ex-wife Kris’ negative reaction to her portrayal in her new memoir, The Secrets Of My Life.
During an appearance on Good Morning America earlier this week, the Olympian was shown footage from a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s where Kris states she is “done” with her former beau.
The 67-year-old claimed that she wasn’t aware of the reality star’s criticism until she had seen the clip.
“I don’t watch the show very often,” she explained to GMA host Michal Strahan.
“First of all, I think the book is extraordinarily honest and it is my perspective. And obviously when you do a book there are different opinions.”
“I have a lot of friends – know the truth and know what I’ve been through and know the whole situation.
“Hey, it’s a reality show. It is drama, but I’m just kind of sorry that she went down that road,” Jenner continued.
“But she’s a good person and we have had 23 great years together and raised wonderful, phenomenal kids.”
Kris’ backlash stems from claims made by Caitlyn that the momager knew about her husband’s struggle with gender identity during their marriage.
Of the explosive allegation Kris said in the footage: “I’ve never been so angry and disappointed in somebody in my whole life.”
“Everything she said was all made up.”
