After a whirlwind few months, Kaitlyn hopes her life can settle down now that Seven Year Switch is off the air.

Kaitlyn’s controversial past was revealed, including footage from her time as a webcam girl called Mermz.

The release of this information wreaked havoc on her relationship with boyfriend Mark – but it also had other reality stars reaching out in support, including Andrew ‘Jonesy’ Jones from MarriedAt First Sight.

‘Past reality stars from other shows have been contacting me and they’ve been so supportive,’ she says.

‘Someone that has reached out is Jonesy. He’s being supportive, you know – “I hope you’re doing well that type of thing.”

‘It’s good that we can make friends out of this, especially with other people who’ve been in the same situation.’

But the reality relationship experiment seems to have backfired on the American.

During the height of media scrutiny, Mark asked Kaitlyn to move out of the apartment they shared.

‘Right now, we’re living separately, taking some time apart – but we’re still hanging out,’ Kaitlyn says with a heavy heart.

‘I’m telling him I’m still his girlfriend but he keeps saying he doesn’t know what’s going to happen. I’m hoping that I can move back in and make things work.’

Because it was Kaitlyn’s idea to go on the show, she is now riddled with guilt about the effect it’s had on Mark.

‘I wanted him to go on this show so I could be famous, and Mark didn’t want to, but he did it for me. I told him it was going to be fun, but I lost my relationship and I’m not even famous,’ the 28-year-old admits.

‘Mark is not doing well at all. It’s breaking my heart. He’s [usually] the most happy-go-lucky person. I’ve never seen him sad, and now he’s depressed and I’m heartbroken.

‘He doesn’t have fans and it breaks my heart. Mark’s a very private person and his work is his life. Now everyone at his work knows everything about our personal life.

‘He’s embarrassed. They’re saying to him: “Does she realise what she’s put you through?” And I really do!

‘I regret it.’
