Angelina Jolie’s bitter fury at Brad Pitt over joint custody

The battle continues.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have spent almost two years attempting to come to a custody agreement, and it seems the actress is still not backing down when it comes to the long-running battle.

A source has told US Weekly, ‘Angie’s big issue continues to be sharing joint custody with Brad,’ adding that ‘she can’t see past her anger for Brad that he is on his way to getting joint custody.’

The insider adds that the 43-year-old mother-of-six ‘has objected to the co-parenting classes’ recommended by the retired judge overseeing their case. While Pitt is ‘willing to try’ the classes, according to the source.

Earlier this week, TMZ alleged that Angelina’s divorce attorney, Lauren Wasser, was considering quitting to case due to Jolie becoming ‘too venomous.’

The insider confirms to US that Jolie and Wasser ‘haven’t been seeing eye to eye for a while.’

However, Jolie’s rep denies the website’s claims.

‘I’ve spoken directly to Laura. The TMZ story is not true,’ her spokesperson, Mindy Nyby, told the publication.

‘She’s not quitting now or in the future.’

A second source added, ‘Laura is not resigning from the case or planning to quit. The reason this story even arose is because someone misinterpreted the fact that new experts were brought in as the case moves into a new phase.

‘She’s continually working to achieve the reunification of the children with their father. It’s really now between Brad, his kids and the family court, and the court will make a decision that’s in in the best interest of the children.’

Last month, the former couple reached a new temporary custody agreement over their six children, nearly two years after their shock split.

According to court documents, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County determined that ‘not having a relationship with their father would be harmful,’ to Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9.

The court determined that the children ‘are safe with their father’ and that it is ‘critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship’ with both of their parents.

However, Maddox is essentially free to go with either parent because of his age.

The documents state that Pitt, 54, will have physical custody of the minor children (all except Maddox) for four hours a day from June 8 to 17 in London, where Jolie, 43, will be filming Maleficent 2

Pitt must spend time with each child at least twice during the 10 day period with a psychologists present. Jolie will not be present during her estranged husband’s custodial time.

The documents add that Pitt will have custody of the kids from July 21 to 29. He is reportedly responsible for returning them back to Jolie in London on July 29, in addition to paying for their transportation. He will have custody again from August 11 until the estranged couple’s next court hearing on August 13.

A source told the Us, ‘This [divorce] has been a longstanding back-and-forth, and hopefully now there will be greater collaboration for the benefit of the kids. The kids have always been a priority for both parents and hopefully everyone will comply with the court order going forward. Brad will be wherever he needs to be for the kids.’
