The Today Show, fronted by Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardner, appeared to have its ratings steady while TV mega-hit Married At First Sight was on air. But, now that the series has ended, viewers have seemingly ‘broken up’ with TV’s former golden boy, and the breakfast show’s ratings are dropping daily.
The Today host has seen his fair share of scandals over the past several months, following on from his scandalous split from wife Cassandra Thorburn and subsequent relationship with model and designer Jasmine Yarbrough.
Most recently, Uber-gate has prompted tensions to run high on the Today set after Karl, and his brother Peter Stefanovic, were caught badmouthing their co-stars.
Faith in the former television personality, and the Today show, has seemingly decreased over several months due to Karl’s consistent scandal’s, leaving him benched from previous duties – including his prestigious hosting role on 60 Minutes.
Despite attempts to reinvigorate the breakfast show following the shock exit of Lisa Wilkinson, Today has remained behind Sunrise.
