Royal fans have regularly pointed out Princess Charlotte’s uncanny resemblance to her grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, as well as her late grandmother Princess Diana, but a recent throwback snap of another relative has sent fans into a spin.
Lady Kitty Spencer, the niece of Princess Diana, took to Instagram to share a sweet throwback snap of herself on her first day of school.
The photograph shows young Kitty, believed to be around four-years-old, posing in a gingham dress and black dolly shoes.
Royal fans immediately flocked to the image to share how much they thought the youngster resembled Princess Charlotte.
“Princess charlotte looks like you!” while another added “I thought it was princess Charlotte for a moment”.
Another posted: “Princess Charlotte has the Spencer genes. You look so similar on this.”
Kitty is the eldest daughter of Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, and his first wife Victoria Lockwood.
She has remained close to Prince William and Prince Harry since Diana’s death, attending both their weddings.
