Following Thomas Markle’s most shocking interview yet, royal experts claim Meghan’s father has sunk to his lowest depths.

Royal expert Angela Mollard told New Idea: “This is the worst one he’s come out with…He has covered everything and there’s so much vitriol.”
“He’s had a massive rant. He’s called them hypocritical, claimed that she [Meghan] lied about paying for her school fees…. This is not the way to act if you want to reconnect with your daughter. You would write them a quiet letter.
“There would be some level of soul searching from his part.”
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Thomas took aim at the Sussexes, saying: “You can’t portray yourself as being charitable and bringing people together and then ghost your own father and your entire family. Their treatment of me has left a lot to be desired.”
He added: “I’m sick of the lies. I’m sick of being vilified and shut out of their lives. I always upheld my responsibilities as a father. Meghan’s comments about paying her way through college are offensive to me.
“I don’t want anything from Meghan or Harry but I’m not going to shut up until the whole truth is out there. I will continue to contradict anything said about me that isn’t true.
“I have to stand up for myself. I’m going to carry on speaking and I’m not going to shut up. No father deserves this kind of abuse when he’s been that good to his daughter. Ask anyone who knows us both. I’ve been very kind and generous to my daughter.”
But Angela believes that Thomas is being unfair to the royal couple: “He let her down at the aisle. He’s all over the place. I think he’s provoked by Samantha Markle. How can she trust him?
“She wrote him that beautiful five-page letter where she talked about their relationship in private and he went and leaked that to the press. How can a man who would sell out his daughter could expect that trust back?”
Angela hopes for Harry and Meghan’s sake that eventually Meghan and her father can eventually heal their rift.
“They need people close and who genuinely care about them they can trust,” Angela believes, adding that both Kate and William have the support of the Middletons who understand the royal family.
Meanwhile Meghan and Harry’s upcoming trip to Africa is coming up, which Angela says will be a good opportunity for the couple to get away from the latest drama.
“Harry’s put a beautiful message on Instagram about how he can’t wait to introduce his wife and child to his second home,” she said.
“They will enjoy this time away,” she adds. “This is when they will get to come into their own. They get to be royals with a message.”
