The Block’s double wedding joy!

Love is in the air at the Gatwick.

Love is certainly in the air at The Block’s Gatwick Hotel.

Courtney & Hans: “We’re getting hitched…at Kerrie and Spence’s place.”

With their quirky sense of style, Hans and Courtney say their wedding will be a whole lot of fun.

And now the auctions are almost over, the high-flying couple can turn their focus to their nuptials. Despite being indecisive on The Block, Courtney, 33, and Hans, 37, have already reached out to fellow contestants to help with their big day.

“Kerrie and Spence have offered their place if we get married in the Barossa and we’ve already discussed it,” Courtney tells New Idea.

“We’ve invited them to the wedding already – as long as nothing happens at auction,” she jokes.

After getting engaged just before going on The Block, they now have time to consider how they’d like their wedding to be.

“We’d like a destination wedding,” Courtney reveals. “It’s definitely going to be either a vineyard, like the Barossa, or a beach wedding.”

And she has a few ideas about the little touches she wants for her special day.

“I want lots of flowers, and candles, and llamas,” Courtney says. “I’ll walk down the aisle with the llamas or alpacas. And you know who has alpacas? Kerrie and Spence!”

It seems like a done deal, especially given Kerrie has revealed their alpacas are named Courtney and Hans.

Jess & Norm: “Our budget big day!”

They’ve become one of the most lovable couples in Australia during their time on The Block and now Jess, 33, and fiance Norm, 40, who have been engaged for five years, are looking towards the future and finally tying the knot.

“It will be a huge celebration of our worlds coming together,” radio host Jess says. “Our ideal wedding is a bonfire at the beach, spit roast with a buffet of delicious food, no shoes, surrounded by the ones that you love. My mum’s the Australian champion gumleaf player so a bit of gumleaf, a bit of harmonica, lagerphones – which is a stick with bottle caps on it – and drums.”

The couples continue their casual theme when thinking about what they’ll wear on the big day. “If we’re doing it on the beach, I’d be happy in shorts and a shirt,” Norm says.

While bargain hunter Jess won’t splash out on her wedding dress either.

“Even if we won a million dollars, I still wouldn’t spend more than $100 on a dress,” she reveals. “l’ll have my hair done but I feel a million bucks if I’m happy.”

And you can also expect to see their Block family celebrating with them. “We’ll have all our buddies there,” Jess adds.

In describing their perfect wedding day – and with Harry and Meghan in town – Jess can’t help but refer to the recent royal nuptials.

“It will be the wedding that Prince Harry wanted but wasn’t allowed to have,” she says with a laugh.
