Model Vakoo Kauapirura has opened up to reality TV podcast Real Talk with Holly & Ali about the horrific racist comments she has received after appearing on The Bachelor.

The 23-year-old stole the show during the first episode last week thanks to her red-carpet entrance and hilarious one-liners.

However, the Sydney local has since revealed that behind the scenes, she has been the victim of nasty racist comments online.

“She said to us after the first episode aired that she received some pretty nasty comments.

“She said, ‘Got some pretty negative comments last night, people calling me the N word and just judging me because of my skin colour. So when I heard you guys, it really melted my heart that there’s people who just look at me for the person I am’.”
